About Us

A Commitment to Connection, Choice, and Possibility

Founded in 2012, IN2U Relationships was created from a belief that every person deserves the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, explore what matters to them, and create a life filled with purpose, connection, and belonging.

We provide person-centered planning, sexuality education, professional development, and individualized consultation for people with intellectual and physical disabilities, their families, professionals, and organizations. Our work is grounded in listening first—recognizing each person’s strengths, interests, experiences, goals, and vision for their future.

Rather than defining what a meaningful life should look like, we help people explore the possibilities and relationships that are meaningful to them.

The Experience Behind IN2U Relationships

IN2U Relationships was co-founded by Ken Renaud, whose career in human services spans more than four decades. Throughout his work, Ken has been a strong advocate for the civil rights, relationships, safety, and inclusion of people with disabilities.

His professional experience has crossed education, advocacy, program development, person-centered planning, sexuality education, community inclusion, and organizational leadership.

Ken previously served as a project coordinator on work connected with the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women, addressing issues affecting people with disabilities. He also developed comprehensive university-level curriculum designed to prepare professionals to better understand and support the sexual health and well-being of people with disabilities.

Throughout his career, Ken has worked with individuals, families, professionals, educators, and organizations to make conversations about relationships, sexuality, personal safety, and life planning more accessible, respectful, and meaningful.

A Career Built Around Creating Change

Ken also served as an Associate Director within a state chapter of The Arc, part of the national movement advocating alongside people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

During his leadership, he helped introduce and expand innovative approaches to person-centered planning and community-based support. His work has also included advocacy initiatives, grant development, fundraising, anti-bullying efforts, professional education, and legislative work supporting the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities.

These experiences ultimately helped shape the philosophy behind IN2U Relationships: people should have meaningful opportunities to participate in decisions about their relationships, their goals, their communities, and their lives.

Our Journey Continues

Today, IN2U Relationships brings decades of experience together with a deeply personal approach.

We believe meaningful change begins with conversation. It grows through education, understanding, relationships, and opportunities to discover what is possible.

Whether we are working directly with an individual, collaborating with a family, educating professionals, or partnering with an organization, our goal remains the same: to create pathways toward stronger relationships, greater understanding, meaningful choices, and welcoming communities.

Because no two lives follow the same path.

Every person has a journey. We’re here to help make it meaningful.

Our Mission

Helping People Discover What’s Possible

At IN2U Relationships, our mission is to guide people with disabilities on a journey of self-discovery, connection, and personal growth.

Through personalized planning, education, and consultation, we help individuals explore their strengths, identify what matters most to them, build meaningful relationships, and connect with welcoming communities that recognize and value who they are.

Our work is centered on each person’s goals, choices, and vision for the future. We believe a fulfilling life is built through meaningful experiences, authentic relationships, and opportunities to participate fully in the world around us.

Every journey is different. Our role is to help each person discover a path that feels meaningful, connected, and uniquely their own.

"Helping people with disabilities and their families isn't just a job, it's a calling - a calling to extend a hand of compassion, to be a ray of hope, and to make a positive impact in their lives. It's the reason why I entered this field, because I believe that every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, regardless of their abilities. And in doing so, we create a world that is more inclusive, more loving, and more beautiful than we ever thought possible."
